Rachel Owen
Rachel sparked the idea of an arctic expedition after seeing an advert for the Race to the South Pole! A competent skier and yacht day skipper, Rachel has climbed in the Monte Rosa and Mont Blanc regions of the Alps and has recently run the London Marathon and trekked the GR20 across Corsica.
Rachel is an aerospace engineer undertaking research into ramjet and scramjet engines. In between testing in the wind tunnel at Mach 6 (six times the speed of sound), Rachel takes every opportunity to challenge herself.
