Hope you are all well and surviving the bitter cold. Keep on pushing (or more optimistically kiting). We all look forward to your safe and victorious return.

Well, I made a record for crossing Greenland. 2 hours from Tassilaq to Ilulissat, but arriving by plane instead of by skis with my team was a little like losing an arm. I know so many people have been supporting the team and are dying for news, so here is a little.
To C and R’s mates and family, all the preparation they have done is paying off, they have been severly tested (172km of sastrugi) and have never lost their good humour and faith, rolling with the punches and stepping up to the plate. You should be really proud of what they are achieving, I know I am. They love all the messages so keep ‘em coming.
I’d like to stress the team kept me in the game to the end, treating blisters, sharing my pulk load, sharing giggles and pulling together. I didn’t get to the West Coast, but I gained something more intangible and just as worthy, the experience of being part of one hell of an incredible team. I consider myself so lucky to been surrounded by such company on an out-of-this-world journey. It was a privilege.
So I may be off the icecap but I’m not leaving Greenland until my little family - Ronny the Reindeer Slayer, Prince Harry and The Rocket Scientists - arrives safe and sound, praying for wind, already plotting more adventures and waiting here with ridiculous amounts of beer on ice and some shower gel for Rache.
I’m still an Arctic Kite.

Great effort Flip. Greenland, like any polar environment, is unforgiving and at times brutal. To have got this far, and inspired many along the way, is achievement in itself. Take the lesson from this trip and apply it to the next. Happy adventures.

Remembering that happiness in life is not the destination, but the journey well travelled, I’d say “you’ve done it”!! A gracious exit from the fray for you Flip, but well done all for taking the safe decision in a timely fashion. I’m mightily impressed with all you have done. I will be donating to the Black Dog Institute in your honour. With love, from Sally, a friend of your Mum and Dad’s.

Thankyou Team for all the help you have given Flip - I know she appreciates your amazing generosity. We wish you all the good fortune in the world. We are so sad she had to leave but obviously made a brave decision. Cheers to you all.

What a brave and fantastic experience, stay safe, have fun and huddle in those winds. Think of all the money you are raising to help less fortunate people, well done.

Wishing you the very best of luck on this most amazing journey. May the polar bears not be too inquisitive (or hungry), the winds be favourable, and the porridge not be too disgusting! Above all, may you both relish the experience and come home with lots of fantastic memories and tales to tell. We look forward to having a wonderful family celebration on your return.
We’ll be thinking of you and looking forward to watching your progress on the web site.
Good Luck to the whole team.

Just as well there aren’t any penguins in the Arctic - I might have been tempted to get fit to join you! Good Luck with the training.

The conqueror of Aconcagua is off to tame the Arctic bears (they’re hungrier than the ones in BC!)…….. Thank God I’m not young or fit enough to be pressganged into joining you! Can’t wait to see your pics though.
The best of luck to you both.
